Commercial Employment
Linden’s commercial employment services are located at our headquarters building in Arlington, Virginia where we operate a printing, copying, hand assembly and fulfillment center that employs approximately 65 adults with disabilities. We provide vocational rehabilitative support and supervision appropriate to each employee’s preferences, needs and abilities to ensure success on the job, with a great emphasis placed on providing continuing education, continued development of Adult Daily Living Skills that promote self-sufficiency, and training to promote community integration and independence. As employees gain skills, movement to community-based employment sites or placement in the community is encouraged. Once a potential opportunity is identified, a short-term assessment helps to determine an individual’s readiness and to identify any necessary accommodations.
There are a variety of job tasks performed in four work areas. The physical requirements may include: sitting, standing, bending, stooping and lifting.
